I saw,
they are whispering.(2017)
Graffiti at Ambedkar University wall, the time of renovation.
Media: Acrylic, pastels, charcoal, gum and scratches onthe decaying wall.
Imprisonment, allowed the discourse in-between the wall and tiles: according to the design and grid arrangement of the tiles, it makes masons job simple but repetitive. The quickness of throwing cement plaster on the wall and pressing of the tile, it gets fix. The tile covered behind the things. While the renovation happened in one of the dividing room in the college (Ambedkar University Delhi), those wall tiles are removed from the wall, while passing that space, wall scratches and remaining cements are appears me some portraits on the wall, the faces are whispering with each other and also towards me. There is no spectacle hanging their weights rather it carrying a mysterious language. They are gossiping about their experienced time, when they become conscious, but the time is changing and so I am. And here the disinterested interest appearing as emotions, forms and those are trying to sustain for long-long time. When it got removed the dusted, smashed ornamented tiles, we can see the expression of the labored form on the delicate, vertical, moral disinterested wall. The restrained discourse about labor and fine-tuned masculinity are cycling. But the renovation works are in progress, discussing portraits get cover with old red outside fine-tuned rock slates and it’s covered again.
