Finding Mustard seeds
from the sand (2015)
Self portrait
Media: watercolor, ink, soft pastel, dust.on newsprint paper.
The difficulty to figure out what I am? and Who am I? Its an attempt to draw the self portrait. Which is historically a haunting subject for artists. However such attempt evokes me to reengage with the self more closely and that's leads me to look at my each body parts that collectively shaping what to day I know my body as a whole. So it is something similar as like, we know water which we can feel through different senses but we forget H2O who give the actual shape. So in these work I tried to unfold or unpack all particular parts and try to build an in-between conversations that make the collective consciousness within.
So the water here is the medium or a metaphor that allows me to create dialogue between all existing and invisible particulars.
